Ping Pong Tournament

Location: UMKC SCHOOL OF MEDICINE - Kansas City, MO

Time: 3pm-5pm

Dedicated to the fight against the homelessness crisis.

A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit founded in 2018 and led by 3rd year University of Missouri - Kansas City medical student Sean Nguyen, inspired by his once homeless father, Tam. To date, over $10,000 has been raised for Uplift Organization Inc through numerous creative, entertaining city and state wide fundraisers, bringing together over 500 people.

National Board Applications

We plan to build on our efforts and expand our impact beyond state lines to the national scale. To do so, we are looking for motivated high school and/or undergraduate students (with a preference to those who are underrepresented) to serve a 1 year term on the national board, with potential to extend their term based on performance. Graduate students may apply for an Ambassador position or Research/Blog Post Director.

Learning About Homelessness

This guide provides important facts, risk factors, and statistics about homelessness, providing a clearer picture of who is affected and how we can help. Understanding the numbers and challenges is the first step toward creating change.

Support for Homeless Charities

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.

“With the support from Forty Love, we have been able to serve the homeless better than ever.”

— Former Uplift Organization Inc President Kathy Dean
